anyways, that proves my point even more! the you from your past can make a different decision that makes a whole different future. therefore if dave decides to eat a different kind of dinner today than damian did, then his future may become different than damian's. therefore you have two daves that are living parallel lives and wouldn't it be easier for dave 2 to be called damian?
