[noctium] connor's house / jackdaw ranch
Accessible by a flashpoint you need an access key for, Connor's 3 bed, 1 bath house is located on roughly half an acre of land within Sumarlok's farmlands. You can also drive there, but it's kind of out of the way and it's easier to just use the flashpoint. You would think that means that it's large. It's not. It's 15ft/4.5m by 26.5ft/8.1m, but three stories tall. Sort of. It's a stupid fucking house because Connor designed it, you'll see in a minute.
There's also a pool on the property, adjacent to the house. It's roughly the same size as the house, because Connor had two priorities: enough space to farm and a pool. Behind the house and the pool, Connor grows various vegetables. He also has a cow and some goats that he inherited from the previous owner. The cow is named Milky White. It's an Into The Woods joke. The goats are named John Davis, Jenny, Dennis Brown, and Liza Forever Minnelli. It's a Mountain Goats joke.
Most of the power for Connor's house is provided by a generator, aside from the pool. Because of this, the property is effectively self-sufficient aside from various pantry items that do come from an actual grocery store. There is some surplus produce that Connor occasionally sells at the Farmer's Market, but mostly what he grows goes toward feeding himself and making food for other people.
Supremely technically, the land has been registered as "Jackdaw Ranch." Connor almost exclusively refers to it as "the monkey compound" for unclear reasons. He will not explain when asked.

The first floor of Connor's house would be a basement if it was below the ground. It isn't, because Connor got weirdly used to living high off the ground and decided to just... put the first floor of his house on the second floor? Instead of in his actual house? The boy is kind of stupid, what can I say. Aside from the pantry, the first floor is where Connor grows his weed and keeps his farm equipment.
One of the storage units pictured in the floorplan is cold storage. It's mainly where he keeps his surplus milk from the goats and cow, but occasionally he keeps bulk meat purchases in there. The other storage unit is where he keeps the various products he makes to use up his milk surplus. It's mostly soaps and lotions, but he also makes his own shampoo. You spend three years on an island trying to survive and you learn how to make a lot of weird shit! And you simply don't stop making that weird shit, because you're a weirdo.

Going up the staircase outside the house leads you to the areas of it where Connor actually lives. Entering from the porch, where there's a small table and chair set up, takes you into the general living area. Around the corner to the left is the kitchen, which is separated from the rest of the space by the island Connor uses like a dining table. Straight ahead are bookshelves and the stairs leading up to the third floor.
Most of the space is done up in white and pale blue, making it feel relatively airy and open even though it's not very big. That also might have something to do with the fact that, for some reason, it's almost too bright inside Connor's living space. There's a loveseat and TV taking up most of the space in the living area that's not bookshelves. The bookshelves are... just crammed full of books. Also there's plants everywhere, including a roughly 7ft tall monstera by the staircase.
Going through the doorway leads into the bathroom area. The first door to the right leads to the obscenely large tub. There's also plants in there. Don't worry about it. A small washing machine with spin dryer is also in there. The second doorway to the right leads to the toilet and sink. To the left is the linen closet. It mainly seems to consist of quilts and towels, but there's some extra sheets and stuff in there too. Also some sweaters? Almost all of it is either blue or white with some occasional green and orange.
The sliding door straight ahead leads out to the balcony. There's chickens in a pen on the balcony, but to the right is the... closet? There's a desk and some bookshelves tucked into the back of the closet but most of Connor's clothing is also kept in here? The clothing is kept on two racks to either side of the closet and seems to be neatly divided into a general clothing rack and an outwear rack with coats and hoodies and shit. When I said his house is stupid, I really meant that.

Going up the stairs leads to the bedroom area. These rooms favor green rather than the blues of downstairs, possibly owing to the fact that... there are also plants here. Both the master bedroom and the guest bedroom have plants in them, the master bedroom having them trailing down the frame and the guest bedroom having several hanging from the ceiling. Look, sometimes you're a bitch who likes plants! They don't cure depression, but having to take care of something else helps sometimes.
Connor converted the third bedroom into a reading nook because he likes two things and those two things are plants and books. Also the rest of his clothes are in a dresser in the reading nook. You'd think he'd just, like, put that in his actual bedroom? But nothing about Connor's house makes sense and he simply doesn't care/ There are also bookshelves in his bedroom. These ones are more #aesthetic than the other ones. Trinkets and plants are slotted between sections of books.
Hanging in each of the rooms on the third floor is a macrame wall hanging with photos attached. They're all vaguely themed, although it'd be hard to tell what the themes are, precisely. The one hanging in Connor's bedroom is themed after Miguel, for example. He themed the one in the reading nook after Shion and the one in the guest bedroom after Ginger. They're moodboards. I'm saying he made esoteric, aesthetic moodboards for each room.
